Laura de Wilde: breathtaking

By  |  Comments

We visited artist Laura de Wilde in her spacious studio in Amsterdam. It’s situated in an old school building from the early 20th century, Laura works here together with about 15 other painters and designers. Laura decorated the place not in one go. She loves collecting things from flea markets and vintage sales. But it is quite empty to give room and air to the works.

The paintings of Laura de Wilde are mostly abstract, sometimes expressionist and sometimes very graphic. In the end it is always about the right balance and colour and form. “I just want to make beautiful things”, says the artist.
